To arm them with the relevant, timeless skills for our rapidly changing world, we need to revolutionize what it means to learn. Education innovators like Dr. Sugata Mitra, visiting professor at MIT; Sal Khan, founder of Khan Academy; and Dr. Catherine Lucey, Vice Dean of Education at UCSF, are redefining how we engage young minds for a creatively and technologically-advanced future. 1. Reblogged this on Conversation Education and commented:
Totally worth your 12 minutes. What ARE we preparing our kids for?

  2. “the current model is very good at squashing that motivation” yes it is, but will it matter how you teach it if you’re still forcing them? I believe children should have more autonomy to choose exactly what they wish to do and then have the ability to try and do it. This is a very good video though they could get rid of politics at the beginning, politics only ever hurt education.
